CARE
International in Egypt is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian
development organization that has been serving
individuals, communities and local associations
in the poorest regions of Egypt since 1954.
What do we do?
CARE
provides and supports opportunities in agriculture;
micro-finance and small enterprise development;
basic and girls education; local water management,
water and sanitation; capacity building for civil
society; Rights-Based Approaches and advocacy
planning; among others.
Who do we work with?
By promoting self-generated
strategies and
community resource mobilization,
CARE works closely with the poor to ensure they
secure more healthy and productive lives on a
sustainable basis and helps build linkages within
and among civil society, government and the private
sector.
CARE Egypt also collaborates with and works alongside
many different partners from government and non-government
organizations, networks and community-based associations,
and the private for-profit sector. All these sectors
are considered important to continue to strengthen
a society based on good governance where tolerance
and social justice reach all people, free of discrimination.
