targets small-scale farmers in Upper Egypt.
They are empowered with information and
encouraged by
example,
to apply ecologically compatible and locally
responsive water and soil management practices.
This leads to reduction in dependence
on external production inputs, and encourages
the farmers
to experiment with environmentally-friendly
